Lord, when I wake, I tum to you,
Yourself my day’s first thought and pray’r:
Your strength to help, your peace to bless,
Your will to guide me ev’rywhere.

I live with many n our world-
Their worldly eyes too blind to see-
Who never think what is Your will,
Or why You brought our world to be!

Your thought for me, your loving care,
Those favours I could never earn,
Call for my thanks in praise and pray’r,
Call me to love you in return!

There is no blessing. Lord, from You
For those who make their will their way,
No praise for those who do not praise,
No peace for those who do not pray!

Make then my life a life of love,
Keep me from sin in all I do,
Your way to be my only way,
Your will my will for love of You.
