See, the promised time is coming,
When the covenant of grace,
In unbroken truth and freedom,
All creation will embrace,
Then shall God be known and worshipped
By the greatest and the least,
In the light of perfect Justice,
At the royal kingdom's feast.

To life of prayér and passion,
Christ, the Word eternal came,
Found perfection in obedience,
And received the highest name.
Author of the world's salvation,
Teach us humbly to obey,
Sharing in the pain and sorrow
Of redemption's costly way.

Saviour Christ, eternal Victim,
Seed of hope who fell and died,
With the pow'rless and exploited,
May the Church be glorified.
Let our lives be freely scattered,
In the dark, oppressive ground,
Till the day when peace and justice,
God's great harvest, will abound.
