Lord of creation, forgive us, we pray,
For following Adam's rebellious way.
Subdue our ambitious and restless desires,
And open our hearing to the word who inspires.

Sad and bereft, O what beauty we lose
In seeking creation to own and abuse!
O how we exploit her for profit and gain
Not hearing her protest, nor aware of her pain!

Keep our religion from poison and stain,
And let us not use t tor glory or gain;
In truer perspective our vision restore
As you and you only we exalt and adore.

Point us to Christ, n whose passion we see
Forgiveness and mercy both priceless and free.
At last may we stand in the light of his face,
In kinship created, and forgiven by grace.
