The wisdom of the living God
Is seen in Jesus crucified;
Such weakness can unite and heal
Where human pow'r and strength divide.

The ancient books contain the law
Of love for God and humankind
The Word incarnate lives and breathes
With grace and mercy unconfined

Both grace and judgement here are found,
His body is the perfect sign,
Though once by human hands destroyed,
Now raised and filled with life divine.

Redeemer God, O give us grace
To find new life in one who died
And call the world to rise and share
The wisdom of the Crucified.
