We join the bridegroom and the bride,
In offering now this bread and wine;
By these two gifts two hearts unite,
That in one Lord, one love may shine.

As man and wife they pledge their lives,
To self donation by God's grace;
Let this be their rehearsal for.
A love that shall the world embrace.

O Christ behold your bride, the Church.
Accept this precious gift we give:
To love all men as you love us,
And for the Father's praise to live.
